They may also be involved in mergers and acquisitions, working with the corporate M&A division to manage tax issues related to such operations.

A Tax Lawyer advises clients on tax optimization and compliance with tax laws. They defend clients in tax disputes and represent them before tax authorities or competent courts.

A Tax Lawyer plays a key role in the tax management of businesses and individuals. Their main responsibilities include:

A Tax Lawyer must possess in-depth technical skills in taxation and business law. Excellent command of tax legislation is essential, as is the ability to analyze complex situations. In terms of education, this profession requires a Master's degree in tax law, supplemented by the CAPA.

The remuneration for a Tax Lawyer in Paris generally ranges between €60,000 and €95,000 (excl. VAT) per year, depending on their experience and the size of the firm they work for. In the medium term, they can advance to positions of greater responsibility, such as partner, become an in-house tax specialist, or a wealth engineer in a family office or private bank.
